After touring many other day cares in the Abilene area, it was a true blessing to find A Habitat For Learning. The faculty is clean, well staffed, and organized. My son is learning letters, shapes, colors, and manners. The teachers are patient and understanding. There is a great play area in the back that most facilities do not have. My son is on a great nap schedule and can identify some letters, shapes, and animals. He is not even two yet. I am so happy with A Habitat For Learning and never want to take him anywhere else. Thank you A Habitat For Learning, you go above and beyond what you have to do for our children.

After being a stay at home mom of 2 for 3 1/2 years, I decided to re-enter the workforce. This was a difficult decision because I am very over-protective and only trusted my mother and mother-in-law to take care of my precious boys until this point. After meeting with countless directors, touring almost every daycare in the Abilene area, a good friend of mine suggested A Habitat For Learning. She said that her nephew went there and loved it. So I called and set up the tour. I immediately liked what I saw when I walked in the door. Happy, well-behaved kids sat at lunch tables eating sandwiches while 4 teachers attended to them. The room was bright and clean with lots of fun learning tools on the walls. I was shown each room, the bathrooms, the play area and introduced to the teachers of the classes my kids would be in. After my tour, I sat down with the director Michelle. She explained every aspect of the daycare in detail to me, answered every question I had, and made me feel completely comfortable. Putting my children in A Habitat For Learning was the best thing for both of my children. My oldest, who was very attached to me when he started, is now excited to go to school everyday. He has learned the months of the year, how to write several letters and numbers, and most of the shapes. He has also learned some very important core values, such as, sharing, manners, and patience. I am totally impressed. My baby also seems to be thriving. His teacher has him on a great routine, which was very important to me. I get a progress note every day letting me know: what he ate that day, when he had his diaper changed, and what learning games they played. I highly recommend A Habitat For Learning to any parent that needs daycare services. You will not find a more patient, caring, trustworthy daycare staff anywhere.
